Background
The SAAIR HEMIS Space Special Interest Group (SIG) serves as a national collaborative forum under the auspices of the Southern African Association for Institutional Research (SAAIR) to advance the quality, consistency, and strategic use of HEMIS Space data within South African higher education institutions.
The SIG supports institutional compliance with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) ‘s space reporting requirements while promoting the effective integration of space data into institutional planning, resource optimisation, and decision-making.
