Welcome to 2026!
SAAIR begins the year with momentum based on clear evidence of growth. Membership rose by 13% in 2025, and involvement from SADC institutions and private providers increased. Engagement levels stayed high, with average attendance exceeding 85% at major events. These signs demonstrate a professional community that values collaboration, methodological rigour, and purposeful engagement.

The Executive Committee remains committed to fostering an inclusive environment where each member’s contribution drives collective progress. Let’s continue to build on the achievements of the Special Interest Groups, professional development sessions, and sector-wide partnerships. The goal for 2026 is clear: to enhance institutional capacity, promote evidence-based excellence, and amplify the impact of SAAIR across the region.
